There is currently of a global shortage of hepatitis B vaccines impacting severely on UK supply of hepatitis A/hepatitis B vaccine. This is due to manufacturing issues. The vaccine shortages are likely to continue for the rest of this year.
Public Health England has issued guidance on prioritisation to preserve adult and paediatric vaccine stock for those at highest immediate need and with the greatest ability to benefit.
